What Do You Miss About Youth Football One thing i miss is playing a team that has kids you go to school with and bragging about who won or not
Fondest Chiefs Memory My favorite memory is when i was 8 and scoring like 22 touchdowns in the season, and we beat the broncos for our only win....it was also the only game my parents have ever missed in any sport!
Favorite/Most Influential Chiefs Coach My favorite coach was Dickie, Don, Y.T, and Doug. They helped me become the player i am today
Favorite Non-Football Activity Some hobbies include playing sports, (any accept soccer) hanging with friends, and playing the xbox i finally got (after 3 christmases of begging)
Favorite Food My favorite foods are steak, ribs and chicken parmesean
Future Plans My future plans include going to a four year college to play baseball, becoming a pharmacuetical rep, starting a family, and coaching my kids
Coach Dickie Says.... Blake was the first QB I coached, and he endured some rough years. I remember one Packer game in the Super Bowl and literally 10 Packers were chasing him and he was running for his life. OR the time he came to the sideline and had got his two front teeth almost knocked out and they were pointing straight forward, Always dependable and extremely coachable, Blake finally gets the big reigns as he leads defending state champs Millard South in 2011.

Favorite/Most Influential Chiefs Coach Coach Tom (YT) was my favorite, he always seemed to take a special interest in me
Favorite Non-Football Activity Skydiving
Favorite Food Hamburger Helper
Future Plans Currently enrolled at Southwestern College and pursuing a degree in Biochemistry
Coach Dickie Says.... Taylor was always a hard worker, relentless, it was so great to see him carry the ball again in high school after having to play line for us in 2002. But he never complained, by far one of the greatest players both on and off the field you will ever run across.

What Do You Miss About Youth Football I miss tackling drills the first day of pads whene everyone was calling each other out
Fondest Chiefs Memory the thing I remember most was beating the Dolphins in 6th grade and also in 6th grade against the Steelers I had a lot of phony calls made on me for hitting kids too hard was coaches explanation, I also remeber Ryan taking toilet paper and tying it to the top story and throwin it down at the hotel and our team breaking stuff in the hotels every year
Favorite/Most Influential Chiefs Coach Coach Don, he was my first coach and he tried me out at a lot of positions to find what I liked and where I fit
Favorite Non-Football Activity Hanging out with my basketball teammates and playing COD
Favorite Food Mac and Cheese, Pepperjax and anything free
Future Plans Go to college
Coach Dickie Says.... I didn't get to directly coach Alec, but I know from everytime I talked to coach Don and a number of other coaches his name would always come up in reference to players you wanted to have on your team. Alec made a huge impression on all the coaches that ever were lucky enough to coach him.

What Do You Miss About Youth Football One thing i miss is the days when u know the game is about to start and you have that rush in your body the flow of the adrenaline adn the hype of about to make the 1st tackle with your team mates
Fondest Chiefs Memory One important day i remember is the day i scored the 1st touchdown on the year on the PEEWEES as reciever and caught a touchdown vs the rams i believe another thing i remember was my last game as a chief. The last seconds ticket off and i couldnt help but realize that it was all over. all 6 years of work was done and there was nothing else i could do to get another chance for one more game or practice etc
Favorite/Most Influential Chiefs Coach my favorite coaches were Dickie Zack white Y.T and coach doug. They all watched me from mini to midget. they all cared for me as if i were family and its something i considered them and many others i played with as
Favorite Non-Football Activity some things i enjoy doing are just hanging out with friends and having a good time playing the sports i play
Favorite Food Spaghetti, Pizza and Tacos
Future Plans Hopefully get a scholarship to UNO or UNL for academics, have a family I can support and live a healthy long life
Coach Dickie Says.... Silk... got that name for being silky smooth as a runner... never one of the biggest guys but we always said if some of the other players had half the heart Silk has, they would be amazing. He never worried about what was in front of him, he just took care of his business. In all my years coaching Silk was the most inspirational player I coached, his desire made his size inconsequential.

What Do You Miss About Youth Football I miss having as much fun as we did in practice every day, it wasn't as serious as it is in high school
Fondest Chiefs Memory Beating the Steelers my first midget year, and constantly torturing a Dolphin in one game, until he was reduced to tears, and all the fun at practice we had. It still makes me laugh how my last two years on the team i was like a legend for all the players who didnt know my real name, i still get called Mule by them when i see them around.. heh
Favorite/Most Influential Chiefs Coach My best coach was the whole midget staff my last year, my dad Coach Zack, Coach Doug and Coach YT made the experience a fun one. Coach Dickie (Uncle Richard) also helped it be fun when he could get away from his team
Favorite Non-Football Activity Hanging out with my friends and playing video games (Mario Kart on the WII...I own everyone...)
Favorite Food Eat just about everything... massive hamburgers... french toast...
Future Plans I plan on graduating in May from Papio South, and I plan to go to college at UNO and walk on to the football team. Still undecided on a major.
Coach Dickie Says.... Mule...my nephew... tireless worker... was the true epitome of what a blackshirt stood for... he caught a touchdown in the opening game of his final year playing as tight end, and after that was moved to center because that was where he was needed... a selfless act for the better of the team... that''s what a team player is all about, that''s what a blackshirt is.

What Do You Miss About Youth Football One thing that i miss is having fun with all the guys on the team and making big plays
Fondest Chiefs Memory My favorite memory was i think in 4th grade when i scored the only touchdown of the entire season for 50 yards in the super bowl and getting dog piled on by the whole team
Favorite/Most Influential Chiefs Coach My favorite coach was probably Coach Dickie because he was my coach from 3rd grade to 7th grade and was always making me better and making football fun
Favorite Non-Football Activity Some hobbies other than sports is probably having a good time with my friends or family and playing on the xbox which i'm not that addicted to any more ha
Favorite Food Ribs, Baked Potatoes, Steak And Chinese
Future Plans My future plans are to letter in football, baseball, and wrestling. I want to graduate from high school and go to my dream school of the University of Georgia and if that doesn't work somewhere where i can play sports or a full ride. After college i want to be a teacher and coach the high school team in either football or baseball, get married have some kids and then hopefully coach them like my coaches did
Coach Dickie Says.... Lil Hammer.... always fun on and off the field, a real competitor who was never afraid to stick his nose in the middle of things. Played much larger than his size, and had a great football sense. One of the smartest players I have ever coached, on both sides of the ball. A real leader and a real true blackshirt.

What Do You Miss About Youth Football To new players, my name is Soren Brunken. I am a Chief. You are new to the brotherhood and so was I. I sucked my first year, so will you. I was a captain my last year, work hard, and they will trust you. We will trust you. Who are we? Who? I can't hear you.... I miss my team, i will always miss my team. Everyone one of them is a brother. No one is forgotten. I filled out a college application last weekend, and it hurts to see how far I have come. I would be nothing without the Chiefs.
Fondest Chiefs Memory i dont have one to be honest. No one moment stands out from the time i had, i may sound a little like an old man but i would give a lot to be back in the glory days.
Favorite/Most Influential Chiefs Coach Coach Y.T. (sorry if its different i have needed to spell his name before) is my most influential coach. I am not sure if it was the constant insults or yellow obsession that made him stand out more, but if i needed motivation he is and will always be the man. Now learning wise, Coach Dickie was the one i learned the most from offense wise. I hope to get the position i want next season. I am a defensive player, can't see that changing, and i have Coach Zack to thank for that, and my starting nose guard position. I have, and could continue to write a story about my chief coaches but i have more to write. Just know i appreciate everyone of you.
Favorite Non-Football Activity Fun stuff, believe it or not i am a reserved guy, i know shocker. I read anything and everything, lift weights, run and daydream about next football season.
Favorite Food
Future Plans I want to be a lot of things. I want to become a lawyer for this week, changes a lot. A teacher is one thats stuck with me, teach history and teach the freshies how to play foolsball.
Coach Dickie Says.... Soren... What a great person and a great player. Truly one of the best kids I had the pleasure to be around and coach. Somewhat reserved at times, but passionate about his playing, and the control of his emotions enough to really accomplish what he wanted. Nothing meant more to me as a coach than getting Soren a win in his final midget game. Great things will follow Soren wherever he goes.

What Do You Miss About Youth Football A) being counted on to make big plays (B) all the fun things at practic and I think if you have ever played football with me you know what I'm saying C)Learning how to be great mentally and physically
Fondest Chiefs Memory When I got my first interception against the Rams
Favorite/Most Influential Chiefs Coach Coach Dickie, he taught me everything and is just a fun guy
Favorite Non-Football Activity When I'm not playing sports, just relaxing or hanging with friends
Favorite Food steak
Future Plans I want to win state wrestling in high school, and play baseball and football in high school as well, get a scholarship to a division 1 school, then a wife and kids
Coach Dickie Says.... Harrison fought through a lot of things in his 4 years with us, along with the injuries, he had to also learn how to play when you are a dominate player like Harry is. Sometimes it is harder to adjust and improve when your skills are better than a lot of your opponents. Those who find a way to learn even when you have little competition, they are the ones who will have the drive to continue to grow and get better.
